On June 17 2026 I was honoured to be invited to present our joint IRF / David A Graham Associates 5-day Road Safety Audit and Climate Resilient Design Course synopsis to the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) Members at the United Nations (UN) Regional Conference Centre Regional Assembly in Bangkok.
The aim was to convey the message that Road Safety Audit (RSA) is an important topic for ESCAP to prioritise as part of its road safety expert group and to gather information about what we collectively know about the current application of RSAs in the ESCAP member states.
In addition we sought to understand how are countries encouraged to learn from one another about RSA and to develop capacity regionally towards the advancement of Road Safety Audit as standard practice for all new and amended highway infrastructure projects.
