Improving road safety is high on the agenda of local, regional and national transport policy especially since the second Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021 – 2030 was launched by the United Nations in 2020 with the aim to reduce 50% of road deaths and injuries by 2030. It is through effective Road Safety Auditing that safety concerns can be highlighted early on in the life of a new highway scheme or revised highway layout avoiding expensive and time consuming delays in the project later on.

At DAGA as well as fulfilling the requirements of GG 119 DMRB (formerly HD 19/15 DMRB) with regard to Road Safety Audit training and experience, since July 2013 all of our Audit teams now include either a team leader or team member that holds a Highways Agency approved ‘Certificate of Competence’ in accordance with GG 119 (DMRB). We will provide such Audit teams irrespective of whether your commission is on a Trunk Road, Motorway or County Road so that you can be sure of our commitment to providing you with the very best Audit teams available at DAGA at all times. In addition most of our Auditors have attained membership of the Society of Road Safety Auditors (MSoRSA) or are registered Auditors with the Institute of Highway Engineers RegRSA(IHE) or both, and can draw upon many years of actual design experience when compiling each report, along with a comprehensive knowledge of effective highway safety techniques. They are fully committed to providing a reliable service for commissions across the UK where we aim to guarantee a ten day maximum turn around for every Audit report* although we often exceed this and can vary it at no extra cost to our clients when circumstances dictate. We currently undertake Road Safety Audit at all stages for a numerous Consulting Engineers, House Builders, Architects and even private individuals across the UK and Ireland. *Our maximum ten-day turnaround is subject to receipt of our completed Terms of Business (TOB), all relevant drawings (to scale), our standard Road Safety Audit Checklist and documents to be considered by the Audit 10 days before the deadline specified by the client.
