Improving road safety is high on the agenda of local, regional and national transport policy especially since the World Health Organisation declared its Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2020. It is through effective Road Safety Auditing that safety concerns can be highlighted early on in the life of a new highway scheme or revised highway layout avoiding expensive and time consuming delays in the project later on. At DAGA our Highways Agency (HA) approved Audit teams are trained in accordance with the guidance included within HD 19/03 of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB).
